Lello Masucci. Solo Vesuvi
The exhibition features by the monothematic journey designed around one of the city of Naples's symbol, one of the dearest to its locals: Vesuvius. The artist Lello Masucci, protagonist of this painting cycle, gave life to his "Vesuvian" inventory in the 1980s, when his first Vesuvius takes shape with features very different from the landscape ones with which the volcano had been depicted up until then.
Anticipating by just a year the famous "Vesuvius" by Andy Warhol - painted in 1985 - the master Masucci has been therefore a precursor in giving an almost surreal and dreamlike overtone to the mountain, making the color a true explosive and communicative element. On display a selection of 20 works.
